The Ultimate Destination for Rotisserie Chicken

I headed over to Pollos El Paisa in Westbury for a rotisserie chicken for my family.  Pollo El Paisa is a family-run Colombian restaurant specializing in authentic Colombian cuisine.  I do not know exactly what Colombian food encompasses but  I like it nonetheless.

The restaurant took over a diner many years ago.  It has the classic booth set up.  You are not going to be bowled over by the décor.  But you do not go there for the aesthetics.

The food is the show at Pollo El Paisa.  We typically order the rotisserie chicken, empanadas, sweet plantains and the yellow rice with peas.  They are all excellent.  To top it off, I always ask for more spicy red sauce (which they sell for $.25 each).

I have to say that this is the best rotisserie chicken that I have had on Long Island.  Lovers of the Costco rotisserie chicken will have to forgive me but it does not hold a candle to the chicken from Pollo El Paisa.  As an aside, the chicken from Pio Pio comes in second.

As for their other food options, the skirt steak and fish are good but not on the level as their rotisserie chicken.  You would be best served sticking to the basics and getting the rotisserie chicken, empanadas, sweet plantains and rice!  You will not be disappointed!!
