Small Cakes Syosset -- Best Cupcakes Around

I was headed to a party this weekend and I had to bring some dessert. I really wanted to bring a Junior’s Chocolate Fudge Cake but my wife pointed out that it would be too much for an afternoon party. Basically the wives don’t want something that looks too heavy. They will eat as much if not more if it looks lighter.

Off we went to Small Cakes in Syosset. It is a small bakery that serves all kind of desserts. We were laser focused on the cupcakes since they would appear smaller and more manageable. They had a bunch of flavors like Birthday Cake, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Cream, Hot Fudge Sundae, Vanilla and Chocolate, Boston Cream and Red Velvet among other flavors. By far, my favorite was the Chocolate Cream. First it looks like a Hostess Cupcake but it tasted like Hostess dreamed their cupcakes would taste like. They are the most fresh cupcakes you can imagine.

The key to going to Small Cakes is to go early. They start running out of their best flavors early in the morning. I would hate to be stuck with the Lemon Drop or Peanut Butter Cup. But alas, we were able to choose our prime flavors. We give Small Cakes the highest praise of any bakery that we have gone to.
