Manhattan Sweet Boutique Bakery: Are Their Rainbow Cookies Better than their Black and White Cookies?

A friend told me that Manhattan Sweets Boutique Bakery had the best rainbow cookies. But as I looked through their cookies, I found that their Black and White Cookie looked good. Was it on par with Cardinale Bakery in Carle Place? I am happy to say that Manhattan Sweets’ Black and White Cookie was one of the best that I have had this year.
The Black and White Cookie had a soft, cake-like texture and delicious frosting. IT was absolutely delicious. I wondered if it was straight from the oven so I took one home to see how it would be the next day. It turned out to be really tasty but of course, not as fresh. They just nailed the cookie.
For the initiated, a good Black and White Cookie needs the following:
Cookie Base:
Cakey Texture: The cookie should be soft and cake-like, not overly dense or chewy.
Subtle Sweetness: The base should be sweet but not overpowering, as the icing provides the main sweetness.
Icing:
Vanilla and Chocolate: The classic combination of vanilla and chocolate is essential.
Fondant or Royal Icing: The icing should be firm enough to hold its shape but not too hard, with a smooth, glossy finish.
Equal Distribution: The distribution of vanilla and chocolate icing needs to be equal
Flavorful Icing: The icing should be rich and flavorful, not just sweet.
Manhattan Sweets Boutique Bakery delivers on their Black and White Cookie. Starting on them being absolutely fresh. As you break it down, the get the cookie part right followed up the icing. I have to score it a 9.2
