Majestic Diner Take on Black and White Cookies

We decided to expand the Black and White Odyssey. We have been visiting bakeries and bagel shops which is like a bakery. But today, we have expanded the tasting to the Majestic Diner in Westbury. We had to move fast since the traffic builds on Old Country Road as we get closer to Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, I try to refrain from traveling on Old Country until after Christmas. There is way too many stores including Roosevelt Field. The traffic is beyond crazy!

While the Majestic Diner is know for their burgers and waffles, we focused on the Black and White Cookie. As we have said before, the Black and White Cookie is the quintessential NY cookie. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a good Black and White Cookie.

The Majestic Diner Black and White Cookie starts with a soft frosting which was much better than expected. Where we deduct points is on the cookie itself. It was not the freshest cookie that we have tasted. It leads the group to believe that this is a day or two old.

Onto to our ratings. We have a consensus rating of 8.4 but we did have an outlier. Our millennial taster gave it a 9.1 which is an excellent rating. He did not have any issues with the lack freshness. While our ratings did differ, we did agree that this is not the best Black and White Cookie.
