Hilltop Kitchen and Bar Delivers on Brunch!!

We have eaten dinner at Hilltop Kitchen and Bar in Syosset a few times. They describe themselves as comfort food with a twist. I have to say that is a pretty good tagline and pretty accurate. But today, we decided to try their Brunch. If you take a look at their menu, they have an incredible amount of sweet and savory items.

We decided to try the French Toast Dippers and special order the Cinnamon Roll. I thought the Cinnamon Roll was off the chart good. It was sweet and light and absolutely delicious.

The French Toast Dippers were not my favorite. They were so deeply fried that they lost the French toast taste that you were seeking. It could have been a churro! The dips were really good and you could almost get past the over-frying with the cubed French Toast.

We then split an omelet which tasted really good. It was light and fluffy. Not as many places cook their eggs so they become fluffy. It must take more time or skill that other places do not want to invest in.

Our overall impression was the brunch was really good. I would pass on the French Toast Bites and try some other sweet food.
