What Restaurant Will Replace the Jolly Fisherman in Roslyn?

It has been about 6 months since it was announced that the Poll Brothers acquired the old Jolly Fisherman site. I have to admit that I am impatient to learn what restaurant the Poll Brothers will be opening in that space.

As some people may know, the Poll Brothers restaurant group owns various restaurants on Long Island like Bryant & Cooper Steakhouse, Majors Steakhouse, Cipollini Trattoria & Bar, Toku Modern Asian, Bar Frites, Hendrick’s Tavern, and The Bryant in Huntington. Also, they have opened Toku in Miami.

Some people have been hoping that the Poll Brothers would open another Riverbay. Unfortunately, the Poll Brothers have said that is not in the card.

Let’s hope that it is not another steak house or Italian restaurant. They have Hendricks just down the road and Bryant and Cooper less than a mile away. With Felice and other restaurants nearby, there is not a need for another Italian restaurant in Roslyn.

So the question is what kind of restaurant will they be opening and when?
