I was looking for a good burger and a friend suggested the Shed in Westbury. I was of two minds because I think of the Shed as primary a breakfast/brunch place but I did have a great blackened fish sandwich there once. Being the easy-going guy that I am, off we went to the Shed.
I was surprised how crowded it was on a weekday night. There was not a table to be had. Since we were committed we waited close to 45 minutes for a table. The vibe in the restaurant was electric. I forgot how lively it was. I have been to 3 Shed locations and the one in Westbury is my favorite. They did a really great job setting it up and creating a fun atmosphere.

Our meal was simple, burgers and fries. Obviously, the wives were not with us or I am sure we would have found something healthy on the menu. The one thing that I could not understand is that they have 3 different burger options which all look the same. Why list them 3 times?
I went with the BBQ Burger Choice with Fried Onions on Top. It was cooked perfectly. It was fresh, juicy and tasty. I could not ask for a better burger The fries held a close second place. I was totally surprised. I could understand how they could excel with Chicken and Waffles but burgers seem to be a different kind of animal. Who knew that they had such a great burger.

We highly recommend the Shed for a burger and fries.
