The Shed Westbury -- They Did Everything Right

We have been to the other Shed locations but wanted to try the newest one in Westbury. First off, it is the nicest looking one and the largest by far. The Shed did it right. Of course, there was a wait. Guaranteed.

We went for dinner and we were informed that there would be a 25 minute wait but it turned out to be only 5 minutes. Evening starting well. I love when restaurants manage your expectations resulting in a positive feeling.

We ordered the biscuit to start and then chicken and waffles and a blackened fish sandwich.

We have had the biscuit and the chicken and waffles at other locations but this is the first time for the blackened fish sandwich. Everything was great. It is hard to say which was the best. The biscuit was fresh and fluffy along with sweet jam. Perfect way to start the meal.

The chicken and waffles is a great combination of breakfast and lunch. The syrup was perfect and their hot sauce for the chicken had a real kick. Nothing to complain about.

Thinking it over, I have to change my mind on what was the best part of the meal. I am going with the blackened fish sandwich. It was well seasoned and grilled perfectly. The spicy sandwich was balanced with the cucumber slaw. It could have been the perfect fish sandwich.

A great meal all around. The wait staff was attentive and they really delivered with the food and atmosphere. We encourage everyone to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Every meal is great.
