As the summer is waning, we headed out to TOBAY Beach in Massapequa for lunch at the Surf Shack. I think that its official name is the Surf Shack, Flip Flop Coast Kitchen. A quick reminder that TOBAY Beach is a town beach accessible for Town of Oyster Bay Residents for a few. There are two restaurants on the Bay side of the TOBAY. The Boatyard Restaurant and the Surf Shack.

The Surf Shack is set up as a beach theme restaurant including a tiki bar. It sits right on the bay side of Tobay. The vibe of the restaurant definitely incorporates the beach them with the sand and views.
They had some interesting drinks including Margaritas and Frozen drinks like the Miami Vice Frozen Drink which consists up Bacardi, Strawberry Daiquiri and Pina Colada. These drinks were a nice welcome to our lunch. It is a worthwhile visit just to have these drinks overlooking the bay.
But we were also there for lunch. The menu had a traditional bar restaurant fare. We ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and a Chicken Panini. We were expecting mediocre fare but were happy surprised with some good food.

The Caesar Salad was fresh with a nice dressing. Now my opinion of the Caesar Salad has more to do with the disappointment that I have had with other restaurants serving Caesar Salads. Sadly for other restaurants, this Caesar Salad would give other more fancy restaurants a real run for their money.

The Chicken Panini was a nicely prepared sandwich that balanced the chicken with mozzarella. I would definitely order this dish again.
In summary, the Surf Shack is a great place to unwind, enjoy beautiful scenery and enjoy some festive drinks and good food. It was such an enjoyable and relaxing lunch that I look forward to doing again.
