Right Coast Taqueria -- More Like Mediocre Taqueria

After eating at Takumi Taco, I wanted to see if there were any other taco destinations that could compete. This brought me to Right Coast Taqueria on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola. The interior is clean and efficient. You can order either at the kiosk or with the cashier. I do like those options

They had an open kitchen so you can see the prep our your food. That could be good or bad. I asked the cashier what the popular taco was and he said that I should go with the Mongolian Beef Taco. Decision made.

Not my favorite taco. It was so deep fried that I could barely taste the beef. The sauce was generously applied to the taco. While everything was fresh, it was hard to tell due to the deep frying.

As an aside, I do not know the real benefits of combining Mongolian food with Mexican food. You should be able to make a delicious chicken, beef, fish and port taco. If you have to deep fry something to make it tasty something is wrong with this picture. I know you are going to say that most fish tacos are fried which I can acknowledge but I do like grilled fish tacos better. If you must keep the frying to fish!

My take is Right Coast Taqueria is mediocre at best. There are better places that you can get tacos nearby. Remember that Fish Don’t Fry in the Kitchen
