Petite Framboise -- Uneven French in Port Washington

As a change of pace, we decided to eat at Petite Framboise, a French restaurant in Port Washington. We started with a French Onion Soup and Macaroni Au Gratin (macaroni and cheese for us common folks). The French Onion Soup was the clear winner. The Macaroni and Cheese was the worst dish of the evening. This dish could have ruined the entire meal.

For our entrees, we had Tagliatelle Au Boeuf Bourguignon and Duck al Orange. Both were really good. The Duck wins the day while the Tagliatelle was ok.

For Dessert, we had the Profiteroles au Chocolat and Croissant au Framboise. They were basically the same dish. Both were good but I like the Croissant more

Certain dishes we really liked like the Onion Soup, the Duck and the Croissant. On the flip side, other dishes were ok and one was just plain awful. I have gone back and forth on my review of Petite Framboise. In the end, I Petite Framboise the thumbs over with caution. I do not know when I will be going back. It is definitely not going into the rotation. Petite Framboise will probably a once a year or so type of restaurant.
