I have trying to make it to the NY Soup Exchange for the past several months but for one reason or another, I have not been able to make it there. It must be because I am lazy or at least that is what my wife says.

Today was the day, I was able to try the soups at NY Soup Exchange in Garden City. While they did not have the broad selection of soups that Hale and Hearty used to have, what they did have tasted great.

I went with the Gulfport Gumbo which has crawfish, sausage, rice and vegetables in a spicy Creole seafood sauce. From my first taste to my last, this could be the best soup that I have ever had. They have the right blend of spicy and savory.

I do not know what took me so long to go there in the first place but NY Soup Exchange is the real deal. I will be back!!
