I decided to try a Bagel at Munsey Park Bagels in Manhasset and I was not overly impressed with them.

The bagel experience started off well. The golden sheen on the bagel was almost perfect and I have to say that it could be the best looking bagel that I have tasted. That was the highpoint for the bagel.

The bagel did not seem fresh. It was tough like you would get from a bagel that was sitting too long in a bin. On the flip side, the bagel did have a good taste but it was not chewy like it should have been.

If this bagel was fresh I would have put it near the top assuming that the inside was chewy based upon the color and the taste. Unfortunately, this was not the case and the bagel should have been thrown out as being too old. It was not a good experience. I am tempted to wait a couple of hours to see if it gets rock hard.

From my tasting, I have to downgrade this bagel shop to a mediocre Florida bagel place and give them a score of 7.2. Actually, on second thought, I get fresh bagels in Florida so Munsey Park Bagels falls below the Florida standard. Rather than go to Munsey Park Bagels head over to Three Sons Bagels which is so much better
