I just saw in Newsday that the Morning Rose Café in Bellmore is closing. We had reported that they served one of the best pancakes on Long Island.

On The Morning Rose Café’s Website, they had the following message
“It has been such a pleasure to get to know so many of you, who have become like family over the years. We appreciate you more than words can say. We will miss you all so much! We wish you all the joy, health and happiness in the world.
It is with tremendous gratitude that I write this post. As you know, we were scheduled to be closed for vacation through 9/11. However, I have had some time to reflect in the last few weeks and decided that we will “not” re-open following our vacation.
Morning Rose has been open for 12 successful years. I am so grateful to my wonderful staff, especially my amazing chef, Jon, who manages the kitchen (from day 1) and my incredible daughter, Nikki, who manages the dining room. It is because of the hard work and dedication of this talented team that we were able to remain strong and on top to this day.
All the best,
Rose”
This is a real loss to the breakfast and brunch scene on Long Island. Some of favorite dishes that we had over the past few years include Chicken and Waffles, Cinnabun Pancakes, Crispy Bites French Toast, The Classic French Toast and Muffins.

I will be sad to see this restaurant close. We always had a create time and enjoyed our meals when we went there. You will be missed!
