Hendricks for Dinner Really Delivered

After my last post on Hendrick’s Tavern’s brunch, I received some feedback that I should not judge Hendrick’s on brunch since it is a steakhouse and dinner would be the best meal to evaluate Hendrick’s Tavern. So here it goes.
We chose to sit outside and Hendrick’s Tavern did a great job on the patio seating. It was spacious and well laid out. For dinner we started with Caesar Salads and the Kobe Beef Hot Dogs.
The salad was ok, I have had better and worse. Nothing to write home about. But the Kobe Beef Hot Dog was amazing. It almost rose to the level of life changing. I could eat this and be a happy man. If you know me then that is a big complement since I am not typically a happy man at all.
For entrees, we had a variety of dishes ranging from a Whole Red Snapper, Scallops to a Filet Mignon. We also ordered the Hash Browns and Crispy Brussel Sprouts. No comment on the Brussel Sprouts!!
All of the entrees were right on the mark and well prepared. They all tasted great. It is hard to say which one was the best other than to say that the seafood almost outshined the steak at a steakhouse.
As a testament to the great food and enjoyable atmosphere, we did not have any leftovers to take home. Our take is that this is one of the best steakhouses on Long Island especially how they deliver on the ambiance. Most steakhouses are dark with major masculine themes going on. Not only does Hendrick’s Tavern have that environment but it also has the airy relaxed outdoors.
In a nutshell, we highly recommend Hendrick’s Tavern!! You will not be disappointed.
