Hana Port Washington -- Steps it Up

We were in the mood for sushi this past weekend and decided to try Hana in Port Washington. We talking to the table next to us and they were amazed that we traveled all the way to Port Washington for Sushi. As we were talking, it became apparent that they, as residents of Port Washington, do not venture outside of their town for dinner. We thought that was strange and after talking to others in Port Washington, we found that their is a strong desire to stay in their little town for all aspects of their life. What is the deal with that?

As to Hana, they really delivered on a special meal. The decor of the restaurant was clean, fresh, modern and comfortable. The service was efficient, possibly too efficient. They served our food with such speed that we were finished in less than an hour. But on the positive side, they did not rush us once we were done.

We ordered the shrimp shumai, snow crab spring roll, miso soup, salad, miso black cod, spicy tuna, Port Washington and the truffle tuna rolls. Everything was really good.

The stars of the show were the shrimp shumai. It was so tasty and filled with shrimp. It could be the best shrimp shumai that I ever tasted. Following that, the spicy tuna roll and miso black cod were our favorites.

For the first time in a while, we had no complaints about the food, the decor or service. My wife wanted to commemorate the day as a national holiday. We are awaiting word on that. Our take on Hana even though we are guests to Port Washington, is that is to give it major thumbs up!!!
