The Menu & Food: Comfort Food All The Way. The focus on the menu is definitely brunch with pancakes, French toast, waffles and egg dishes. They also have sandwiches including a whole section on grilled cheese!!
We ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes and a Grilled Cheese. But we started our meal with a glass of water with ice. I do love it when you get water delivered with ice!! The pancakes were golden brown and they prepared perfectly. They really delivered on this dish and it was the highlight of our meal.
The Grilled Cheese was a disappointment. We had such high expectations based upon a recommendation from our waitress. We ordered one with grilled chicken and cheddar cheese. It was my fault for including the chicken since the dish just became a grilled chicken sandwich. I would try one with only cheese to see if it was any better.
But the reality is if I would go back, I would focus only on the breakfast items. The pancakes, waffles and French toast that other patrons ordered looked so good. To answer my traditional question on whether I would go back. I am on the fence. If it was local then yes I would. But I would not travel 20 to 30 minutes. Unfortunately, Buttermilk Farmhouse will not make my top 10
