Naya is a Poor Man’s Cava

I have enjoyed my trips to Cava with their build-your-own bowl concept and fresh, vibrant ingredients  My only complaint has been the wait time there.  A Naya restaurant has opened in the food court in Roosevelt Field so we wanted to see how it measured up.

Naya offers a similar concept of build you own bowl concept.  First off, Naya’s pricing is slightly less than Cava.  Naya focuses specifically on Lebanese cuisine, which gives it a distinct flavor profile. Their strength often lies in their shawarma and falafel, which are prepared with traditional Lebanese spices and techniques. One of the results of the Lebanese focus is the range of offerings like dips is significantly less than Cava’s.

We ordered their salad bowls with Chicken Shawarma.  The bowl was good but not on the level as Cava.  My overall opinion is that Naya is a good but not a great Mediterranean lunch option.  There are better options so unless you want lunch in the mall, I would go elsewhere.
