Continuing my search for the best hot dog around. While I was in White Plains (the food wasteland of America), I dropped into Walter’s Hot Dogs which has been around since 1919. The shop looked decent and had a good menu

When I started to order, I had to ask the cashier why they charged $.35 for the bun on the hot dot. Unusual but we went with the classic hot dog with mustard and the bun. For $3.10 a good buy at least that was what I thought when I ordered it.

They split the hot dog in half and serve it on top of each other. Both the look and taste was disappointing. The real question is how has Walter’s Hot Dogs been around for over 100 years. I guess it being located in the food wasteland of America helps.
