Review CHASE Sapphire Lounge John F Kennedy Airport

Review Sapphire Lounge John F Kennedy Airport

I was traveling and decided to try out the new Sapphire Lounge at JFK in Terminal 4.  I had high expectations since the Sapphire Lounges are in direct competition with the American Express Centurion Lounges.  First impression, the lounge is small and more low key than the Centurion Lounge.  The bar scene at the Centurion Lounge blows away the Sapphire Lounge.

As to the food, the Sapphire Lounge has a small buffet but it allows you to order food from the menu.  We were there for breakfast so we tried out the egg bao bun and the salmon.  From the buffet we tried a bunch of pastries.

Our take was the food was very fresh but not that tasty.  We would be better off buying fresh bagels and eating it.  The bao bun was indescribable since it had a square lump of eggs.  Felt like a processed egg selection you would get in a truck stop.

My take is that is was a nice environment to kill time before a flight but bring your own food
