Since our last bagel tasting, we decided to try another one. This time we stopped by Town Bagel in Plainview. We were lucky in that they are celebrating their 40th Anniversary. I can not imagine a great testament to a bagel shop than being open for 40 years. They must be doing something right.

We arrive around 2:00 and the place was hopping. I was feeling really good for my choice. When I asked someone on line what was good, they responded with everything is great here. This could be a good sign or a sign that this guy does not know what is what. It turns out to be the later.

I ordered a plain bagel with veggie lite tuna fish. How could I go wrong since everything is great here. To start off, the bagel was not golden brown on the top and was borderline burnt on the bottom. This caused the texture to be not the right level of chewiness. The bottom was almost inedible.
To add insult to the bagel injury, the tuna fish was swimming in mayonnaise. Typically veggie lite tuna fish does not have that kind of mayonnaise in it. Even if I had liked the bagel, the tuna fish would have ruined the meal.
All in all, this was a bad experience from the bagel to the veggie lite tuna fish. I have to say that this bagel shop is not worthy of a repeat visit. I would recommend that people choose one of the better bagel shops nearby unless they want disappointment.
