Tin Muffin Cafe - A Must See Food Destination
Even though we are at high season, the crowds started to diminish following New Years. So with that, we headed over to the Tin Muffin Cafe in Boca Raton for lunch. We had heard about this place for a while but never made it there. The most interesting thing is that we heard about their bathrooms first. I know, strange.
The ambiance at this little cafe on Palmetto Park Road is a typical sandwich shop with tables on the outside and a few on the inside. Nothing terribly special. I was informed that I needed to check out the bathrooms. Strange instructions but I typically check out the bathrooms anyway. My friend definitely undersold the bathroom experience. It turns out that they decorate one of the bathrooms to reflect seasonal holidays. Since we were there after New Years, they still had up the Christmas decorations along with snow globes and music.
In addition to the bathroom experience, you have to try the food. They have the traditional sandwiches and salads. Also, they have quiches, soups and chicken pot pie. I am a total sucker for Chicken Pot Pie so I ordered that and the Crab Soup.
We also had the sample platter of tuna fish and chicken salad.
The chicken salad and the tuna salad were ok. They did have too much mayonnaise in them. The muffin they included however, was absolutely incredible. I would have said that was the highlight of our meal but not even close.
The crab soup and the chicken pot pie were just plain great. The small chicken pot pie was originally concerning but I was totally filled and happy after eating it. It has to be the best chicken pot pie I have had in the last 5 years. The soup also hit the right spot.
I have to give the Tin Muffin Cafe our highest rating based upon their food and the bathroom. I highly recommend a trip there!!
