The Best Breakfast on Long Island -- Maureen's Kitchen in Smithtown

I went to Maureen’s Kitchen for lunch today with a friend who had never been there before. We were going to have lunch but how can you skip their Pancakes. In addition to the Pancakes, we had a turkey sandwich special and their Million Dollar Lunch Special.

We absolutely loved everything. The best by far is their pancakes. They have really nailed down the breakfast dishes. The fried chicken sandwich (Million Dollar Sandwich) was also off the charts. The Thanksgiving turkey also delivered.

We then decided to push our luck and order a piece of the crumb cake. To our surprise, they brought out what seemed to be half the crumb cake.

This could be the best crumb cake that I ever had. It was both moist and crumbly. As we sat totally satisfied, we decided to rank our dishes in the following order:

  1. Crumb Cake

  2. Pancakes

  3. Million Dollar Sandwich

  4. Turkey Sandwich Special

All I have to say is that Maureen’s Kitchen is a culinary masterpiece that should be on your must visit list!
