T Bar Roslyn -- Lives Up to its Reputation

We decided to try T Bar in Roslyn. It definitely lived up to its reputation as a cool hip restaurant with good to great food. They revamped the old Brass Swan space (which was Roslyn Social and MP Taverna before that). The space seems jinxed for restaurants that come in with a splash but peter out over time. I do feel that T Bar will be different.

The vibe was definitely a major plus. They redid the entire space so you get the feel of a hip joint. As to the food, we were disappointed to hear that their pizza oven was broken so we could not get their authentic coal fire pizza. But we did order the regular pizza and salads to start

The pizza was definitely crunching and tasty. I only wish we had the coal fire pizza. For entrees, we had the Branzino and the Crispy Long Island Duck. For those who do not know me, I am a duck lover and will tend to order that as my first entree choice.

The portions were healthy but expensive. On the flip side they were served hot and were delicious. The roast duck was both crispy and succulent with the right amount of orange glaze. I could not have asked for anything better.

The only negatives of the T Bar would be minor. First it was expensive but we knew that going in so it is hard to complain on that front. The only other complaint was we were promised bread by our waiter and she never delivered it. But I did save room for my meal that way.

Our conclusion is T Bar delivers both an experience and a great meal.
