In our ongoing search for the best chocolate chip cookies on Long Island, we visited our nearby bakery Dortoni Bakery in East Norwich. Even though we are hunting chocolate cookies, I had to try their black and whites, which is my favorites. But since we were in the midst of all of the St Patrick’s Day hoopla, I had a green and white. It was so good that I could not even take a photo before eating most of it.

On to the tasting. I hate to call it a chocolate chip cookie, it was more of a sand cookie with chocolate chips on it. Only chips on top of it. The cookie had no taste. It was almost like eating sand. My advice is to stay away from this cookie. Dortoni was a major disappointment.
