I was not in the mood to go out to dinner this past weekend so we ordered in from Pete the Greek in Old Bethpage. This restaurant is focused on take out with only 2 tables in it (it seemed like a pizza shop when I picked up the food). They do a bunch of business. I was impressed with the number of take out orders waiting on the counter. Another amazing thing is we ordered a bunch of food and it was ready in 10 minutes. How do they do that?
We ordered the started tiwht the Hummus Dip and then had the Chicken Souvlaki, Beff and Lamb Gyro and an order of Falafel. It turns out that this was way to much. We even had leftovers for another night.
The Hummus was so creamy and tasty. The Gyro was cooked to perfection. Most the time when we order a gyro they tend to overcook it so it tastes horrible. This was not the case. The Falafel even traveled well.
I loved everything we ordered and intend to go back to try the things we missed.!
