Nikkei of Peru -- One of the Best Sushi Places in Port Washington

We were in the mood for some sushi and headed to Nikkei of Peru in Port Washington. We were first struck by the small parking lot right next to Nikkei of Peru. Of course all of the spots were taken so we had to park in the supermarket parking lot next door. Nikkei of Peru is a small restaurant, more to a boutique restaurant. The interior will not wow you but it is intimate.

We started our meal with the Peruvian Corn, Shumai and the Rock Shrimp.

And for entrees, we ordered a bunch of sushi and spicy lemon shrimp

All of the food was really good. I love the Japanese and Peruvian fusion. It seemed that some of the dishes had unique tastes reflecting the Peruvian input. We especially liked the Peruvian corn. Such a great way to start the meal. All of the sushi was delicious.

The shrimp dish was also a highlight of our meal. The favoring was especially right with just the right amount of kick. All in all, a great meal.

If you are looking for sushi in Port Washington, you really need to eat at Nikkei of Peru!!
