Meats Meat in Branch Brewery -- No Need to Stop

We saw an article in Newsday regarding Meats Meat BBQ sharing space with Branch Brewery. We were out in the North Fork vineyards and decided to stop by. The Branch Brewery is a nice looking bar with friendly staff that hooked us up with some nice beers

Our desire to stop by the Branch Brewery was for the BBQ sold by Meats Meat. We ordered a Brisket Burger, Pulled Chicken Sandwich, Pastrami Sandwich and Corn Fritters

I normally start with what we liked. For this outing, it was easy, the Corn Fritters were great. We gobbled them up.

We should have stopped there. The rest of the food was just plain awful. The Brisket Burger took the cake for being the worst food we ordered. Followed closely by the Pastrami Sandwich which was too fatty with no taste. Never a good combination. The Chicken Sandwich was mediocre with its issue being that it also had no taste. All in all, the sandwiches were not good and should be avoided.

I know we are not in prime BBQ location but we can do better. Also shame on Newsday for recommending this place.
