Matteo's Roslyn -- A Solid Choice

We decided we wanted a low key Italian dinner so we we headed to Matteo’s in Roslyn. The interior is understated and the best part is that they have a glass enclosed room that can be set up a peaceful room separate from the rest of the dining room. Our waiter was very attentive and asked us several times if we need anything. Of course we ordered more and more alcohol as a result.

We ended up ordering a much simpler mean than usual. We started with the Caesar Salad then we had Linguine with Clam Sauce and a Chicken Parmigiano.

My favorite dish was the Caesar Salad. It was almost to the quality of the tableside preparation with the egg which I absolutely love. The Chicken Parm was good as was the Linguini with Clam Sauce. The good and bad was the portion size. We were so full that we could not finish them but we did enjoy them the next day. Be careful and do not over order at Matteo’s

My take on Matteo’s is that they deliver a solid Italian meal that I enjoyed. Definitely not the best but good enough. They also know how to take care of you so it is an enjoyable dinner.
