We went to the Lucharitos in Mineola for dinner. It is located in the Morgan Parc building on 2nd Street. As an aside, that is a really nice-looking apartment building. The restaurant had nice inside and outside seating. We chose the outside area When the weather is nice, it is a pleasure eating and drinking outside. Very comfortable environment for both dinner and drinks. It had a fun energic vibe
The staff was really helpful and nice. They helped us order and took really good care of us. It could have been the service we received this year.
The menu offered us a whole slew of options but I was limited since we were only two people. We decided to start with the Mango Habanero Chicken Wings and the Duck Nachos. Both of these entrees were on point and major wins. The food was fresh and flavorful. We were concerned that the Mango Habanero would be too spicy but it hit the right level which taste was moderated by the Mango.
We were so full from our appetizers that we only order 2 tacos, The Mahi Mahi and Duck Tacos. We decided to go with the Duck Taco since we enjoyed the Duck Nachos so much. One of the options of note was that we could choose the form of the taco shell that we wanted with our choice of tacos. We ended up going with the soft flour but we could have chosen a soft corn, soft and crunchy and hard shell. I love the options. We really enjoyed both the duck and Mahi Mahi. I only wish we had more room to sample the rest of menu!
Lucharitos is a popular and a much-needed fun addition to Mineola’s downtown. It offers a lively atmosphere and good food, making it a great destination for a night out. Definitely a place to try for your next night out.
