Lily's Handmade Ice Cream Delray Beach

I was waiting to have lunch at Poppies Restaurant in Delray Beach and noticed Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream next door. They had a sign that they were voted the best ice cream in all of South Florida. Now that is a big claim with all the ice cream shoppes floating around.

After lunch, we needed to see if they lived up to the billing. We ordered their best selling ice cream, called the Soflo Swamp

This ice cream is a chocolate based ice cream with Belgian chocolate-infused Oreos with the decadence of chocolate chips and the nostalgic crunch of Oreo chunks.

I have to say that this ice cream did live up to its billing. It was so creamy, rich and tasty that without comparing to other places, it may be the best ice cream in all of South Florida. I have no complaints, only superlatives. We were only going to have a bite to taste but we ended up gobbling it all down. Our verdict is that you should run (not walk) to Lily’s Handmade Ice Cream in Delray for the best ice cream you are going to have!!
