La Bussola Glen Cove -- Traditional Italian

We ate at La Bussola in Glen Cove and we were not disappointed. La Bussola is a traditional Italian Restaurant in the heart of Glen Cove. As Glen Cove changes with all the new restaurants, it is comforting to know that La Bussola remains the same by delivering quality Italian cuisine.

On this night, we stayed with the classic Italian theme of a Caesar Salad, Baked Clams and Veal Parmigiana. If we were going real traditional then we would have added one of their pasta dishes as well. But not on this night.

The Baked Clams delivered as usual. They were everything that clams should be. Cooked right with a great taste. The Caesar Salad was a sold choice. It was so good that I reminisced about the traditional way to make Caesar Salad. It should be a table side preparation including the raw egg. Unfortunately, that is a thing of the past.

The veal parm was an ideal choice for an entree. This was cooked just the way I like it. Not over fried or burnt to a crisp. The combination of the tomato sauce and cheese was just right.

All I can say is that I had a great night at La Bussola and I can not recommend it any more!
