Kaluz a Great Place to Have a Drink During Sunset

We went to Kaluz Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale for drinks which turned into dinner. It is located on the intercoastal so it is ideal to have a seat outside where you can watch the boats go by. The bartender serves up pretty good drinks. Not the diluted ones that you would normally get in such a pretty vista.

We should have stopped with drinks but decided to have dinner. We started with the seafood dip and a flatbread. Normally, I have to decided which is the best. In this case, I struggle to say which is the worst. In the end, I have to vote that I liked the flatbread the least. It tasted like a matzoh cracker. I typically wait until Passover to have something taste this bad.

On to the entrees, we had the burger and the duck. It was clear that the duck was the worst dish. It was dry and had to taste. A perfect waste of a really good dish.

In the end, the ambiance is the key attraction at this restaurant. It is a lot of fun to have drinks here. But you should avoid dinner and go to a better restaurant nearby. I have made this mistake twice.
