First Stop on my Bagel Journey, Gabby's Gourmet Bagelatessen in Woodbury. I decided to try out one of the bagel shop that women who lunch go to. What I mean is that 90% of the customers in this bagel shop were women. This does not impact my bagel analysis but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Gabby’s has traditional offerings for a bagel shop so I am not going to focus on that. I really care about the their bagel offering. I ordered a plain bagel since this is the one that will tell you the most about their quality.
My first reaction is that the bagel looked a little undercooked and should have a golden crust. I was happily surprised that it had a good crunch factor with a chewy dough. It would have been better if it was more well done though.
My conclusion is that this would be a great bagel if I was eating in Florida or some other bagel wasteland. But in the New York area, we can do better. As a result, they get a rating of 5 out of 10.
