Dada in Delray Beach -- An Eclectic Restaurant that Delivers

We were in Delray meeting someone and needed a place to eat dinner.  We chose Dada since we have always had a good meal and we love the environment.  For those keeping score at home, Dada is named after an anti-establishment art movement started in 1915.

The restaurant Dada is housed in one of the oldest residences in Delray Beach (over 100 years old in fact).  The ambiance reflects the food in that it is eclectic.  There are lights and art work through out the property.  The outside seating is the way to go assuming the weather cooperates.

We started with the Starving Artist (A Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Soup) and a Crispy Cauliflower.  Both were excellent but my favorite as usual is the Grilled Cheese Sandwich.  Nothing beats dipping grilled cheese into a tomato soup especially one that tasted more like tomato sauce than soup.  It also feels like my childhood again.

For entrees, we had the Dada Burger, Grilled Salmon and the Braised Short Rib.  We also enjoyed each of these dishes.  The winner was the Short Rib.  While we really enjoyed the burger, we could have ordered a burger almost anywhere.  Same goes for the salmon.  On the taste, it was hard to rate one over the other.

Speaking about ratings, we have to give Dada a rating of 9.5 out of 10.  We only deducted a half a point since the chairs were a little uncomfortable.
