Chat American Grill (Scarsdale) -- Lovely Place for Lunch

We were in Scarsdale and found Chat American Grill, a lovely restaurant on the edge of town. They had this great outdoor seating area and since it was the end of the summer, how could we pass up on Chat American Grill?

The menu was standard fare and we ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and a Chicken Panini.

The Chicken Panini was good while the Chicken Caesar Salad was dry and the chicken was overcooked. I would normally trash this restaurant as uneven and not worthy of a visit but I had a really enjoyable time. This could be the first time in a long time where the restaurant vibe and ambiance outweighs the food. If I had to do it again, I would order drinks and soak in the atmosphere. I can see a great afternoon being spent just drinking and talking with friends.

With that said, I am still going to recommend the restaurant for an enjoyable time. There are some times where the experience can outweigh the food. Who Knew??
