Cassariano Italian Eatery -- Good Italian with Great Vibe

We passed Cassariano Italian Eatery in Mineola multiple times when we were shopping at North Shore Farms. We decided that we needed to experience it on a night they had the DJ. The way it works is that DJ does not start until 9:00 pm so until then it is a traditional Italian restaurant. The hole vibe changes with the addition of the DJ which brings Cassarino to another level.

We found Cassarino to have a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion or a casual night out. The décor is both modern and light.

On the food front, we loved what we ordered. We started with a Casaer Salad and half order of the Spaghetti with Lamb Meatballs. For our entrees,  we had the Branzino and the Veal Scallopini. We finished up the meal with a Chocolate Mousse. 

We knew it was going to be a great night when we ordered the Sangria Sampler and out came a Sangria Tree with three full glasses of Sangria. Definitely one of the highlights of the evening. 

The food was delicious and fresh. We loved the slight twists on the classic Italian menu like adding lamb meatballs to a Spaghetti dish. My wife could not stop raving about how tasty the Branzino was. I really enjoyed the tenderness of the veal scallopini. We ended the meal with the chocolate mousse which did not disappoint.  

I will also add that I loved the presentation of the dishes starting with the Sangria tower and ending with the mouse in a martini glass.  

Overall, the food was great with every dish hitting its mark. What really separates Cassarino from other Italian restaurants is its vibe starting with its cozy environment that changes to a lively one with dancing once the DJ starts rocking. We highly recommend Cassarino for an enjoyable dinner and dancing afterwards!!
