We returned to the Bungalow East Restaurant in Long Beach. We loved the wraps last time so it was worth a return visit. We did like the casual environment with the outdoor seating.
The restaurant’s menu is large, with a wide variety of wraps and paninis. I wish we were there for breakfast since the breakfast wrap looked really good. But since we were there for lunch we opted for wraps. We ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap and a Mediterranean Wrap. I do love how they grilled the wraps. It definitely added to the eating experience.
The Chicken Caesar Wrap was the Miss of our Meal. There was limited dressing and the chicken was chopped too fine. It was bland with limited taste. We were disappointed with this dish. This was a major change from our last visit.
The Mediterranean Wrap was on the other hand, the Hit of the Day. The hummus and the chicken was really delicious. The blend of the hummus, hot sauce, balsamic vinaigrette and chicken worked really well. We really did enjoy this dish.
Overall, it The Bungalow East Restaurant is inconsistent with some really good sandwiches and some that do not hit the mark.
