Ben's Deli -- One of Few Remaining Kosher Delis on Long Island

I wanted to follow up from my hot dog visit to Ben’s Deli with other sandwiches. Instead of our traditional orders of pastrami and turkey, we went with a chicken Caesar wrap and a grilled chicken panini.

As Ben’s is kosher, no dairy or cheese in either of our sandwiches. So we did not know what to expect. The chicken Caesar wrap was tasty but missing something (probably the dairy component). My panini was very good. The chicken on the toasted bread complimented each other very well. The best part of the meal is the cole slaw and pickles. I do miss these at other delis.

Our conclusion is that Ben’s continues to hang in with their kosher options. They have fallen behind the Lido Kosher’s of the world in the quality of their offering. But at the end of the day, if you want a quick kosher option, Ben’s Deli offers that and you will not be disappointed.
