Bagel Chalet -- Another Miss

Another day, another bagel shop. Today we tried the Bagel Chalet in Plainview. From the look inside, I did not have high hopes for this shop. I should have just turned around and called it a day. But for the sake of Local Grubber, we continued on.

I ordered a plain bagel and the owner gave me 2. That was the highlight of my experience.

Another bagel that was pale. The photo above makes it look more golden than it really was. This bagel was neither crunchy or tasty. The dough was not chewy at all. This bagel did not have any elements of a good bagel. As to rating, I can only say that Florida bagels are looking really good. I would take a bagel from bagelworks any day over the bagels from Bagel Chalet As a result, my rating is a 1 out of 10
