We ate at La Pizzetta in East Norwich expecting a quick bite consisting of pizza and salad. But when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find a real welcoming dining room. Definitely a step up from our expectations.

The Service & The Food
The service continued to build on our experience. The waitstaff was professional, warm, and genuinely helpful, guiding us through the menu with recommendations that showed they actually care about their guests. They steered us towards items that featured their red sauce. As a red sauce fan, I was totally on board with that.
We decided to keep it classic by ordering a pizza and the chicken parm.

The Pizza: A fantastic baseline. It came out hot, crisp, and hit every traditional note perfectly.

The Chicken Parm: This is where they truly took it up a notch. The dish was the real star of the night because it really featured their red sauce. The cheese was the right golden brown color and the chicken was cooked the right way. A real memorable dish. Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more rare for classic Italian dishes to be truly memorable.
The Verdict:
While I was eating, I was hoping that Dave Portnoy would bring his One Bite challenge to East Norwich and evaluate this shop. I would probably be disappointed because he has something against Long Island pizza but as a fan, I would rate this one an 8.1. Definitely worthy of a trip back!
